With a sluggish housing market, the trend for bolder interiors is set to grow in 2012 according to an article posted in the Manchester Evening News this January. Drawing heavily on the views of Black Orchid's founder and furniture designer Sally Chamley, the article goes on to suggest that we will see stronger colours and more flamboyant choice in interiors as people choose designs that they want to live with rather than the neutral colour palette said to appeal to buyers. In a season where everything sparkles, Black Orchid's luxury gold cushion was chosen by Cosmopolitan to feature in their interiors page 'Design Doubles'. Gothic has been a massive trend in design for over 12 months or more seen on the international catwalks as well as in the world of interiors. It wasn't surprising therefore that The Times chose the run-up to Halloween to feature a piece on all things Gothic in their Interiors section.
